Abstract

PROPOSAL FOR LIVE TURBIDITY MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUE IN FLOWING WATER

ABSTRACT

Turbidity is the major issue of drinking water at the time of rainy season. Turbidity less than 20 NTU (nephelometric turbidity unit) cannot be seen by naked eyes. In India the turbidity is considered as an indicative parameter with limiting value below 5 NTU and the same in European countries is less than 1 NTU. Here in this paper we are proposing an optical technique to find out live turbidity from flowing water through a pipe.
