Abstract

SYNTHESIS, ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF SOME NEW 2-PYRAZOLINES

ABSTRACT

A new series of chalcones (1a-h) were synthesized by condensation of 3-acetyl-2,5-dimethyl thiphene with various substituted aromatic aldehydes by claisen – Schmidt condensation method. The resulted chalcones react with phenyl hydrazine HCl in presence of pyridine to give 1,3,5 – Trisubstituted 2-Pyrazolines CHP (1-8). All these pyrazolines were characterized by means of their IR, H1NMR and elemental analyses. Newly Synthesized compounds were evaluated for anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activities.
