ISOLATION AND STRUCTURE DETERMINATION OF A NEW FLAVANONE FROM TEPHROSIA SPINOSA

ABSTRACT

A new flavanone named Tephspinosin-1 was isolated from the alcoholic extract of roots of tephrosia spinosa . The new flavanone was identified as2, 3-dihydro-7-hydroxy-6, 8-bis(3-methylbut-2-enyl)-2- phenylchromen-4-one on the basis of spectral analysis.
