ABSTRACT Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) is a condition that includes various clinical presentations affecting reproductive, metabolic, and psychological functions. The range of presentations includes ovulatory dysfunction, hyperandrogenism, menstrual cycle abnormalities, and polycystic appearance of the ovaries, usually together with metabolic disorders like insulin resistance. Diagnosis involves a clinical evaluation that considers each patient’s presentation and underlying risks and is not restricted to the demonstration of a particular finding on ultrasound. The management involves a combination of approaches that may include lifestyle modifications, medicines for stimulating ovulation, and therapies for hyperandrogenism and associated metabolic risks. At the same time, inositol, herbal remedies, and innovative drug delivery methods are being studied and need deeper understanding before they can be incorporated into standardcare. This study offers a thorough review of the terminology, epidemiology, pathology, diagnosis, clinical manifestations, complications, management, related herbal medicines and supplements, and delivery systems of PMOS. Keywords: Anovulation; Diagnosis; Hyperandrogenism; Infertility; Insulin Resistance; Management. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
