ANALYZING DISSOLUTION DYNAMICS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF GENERIC AND BRANDED BRIVARACETAM TABLETS VIA IN VITRO PROFILING UNDER BIOWAIVER CONDITIONS
Asmita Anil Hulawale*, Dr. Tambe Sagar E., Akanksha Vinod Jogdand, Dhanshri Subhash Jadhav
ABSTRACT This research paper investigates the bioequivalence of generic and branded Brivaracetam tablets through a comprehensive analysis of in vitro dissolution profiles and physicochemical parameters. Utilizing UV spectrophotometry, the study examines drug release kinetics, ensuring a thorough understanding of the dissolution behavior of both formulations. Physicochemical parameters, including tablet description, Average weight, uniformity of weight, hardness and disintegration time, are also evaluated to understand the overall quality and performance of each formulation. F1 and F2 values are calculated to assess the comparability between the two formulations. F1 represents the percentage difference in drug release at various time points, while F2 quantifies the similarity in overall dissolution patterns. The study aims to provide a thorough understanding of potential differences in drug release Keywords: Brivaracetam, In vitro dissolution, Biowaiver, Drug release kinetics, Bioequivalence, similarity factor (f2), Generic, Branded, UV spectrophotometry.
