ANTIOXIDANT, ANTI-AGEING AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF SYNTHESIZED COPPER NANOPARTICLE USING PHYSALIS PERUVIANA ROOTS
R. Vijayan*, M. Balaji, M. Prakash and R. Vignesh
ABSTRACT Physalis peruviana is a genus of plants belonging to the Solanaceae family. Our Project focuses on synthesizing the copper nanoparticle from the ethanolic extract of Physalis peruviana roots and to study its Anti-oxidant, Anti-aging and Anti-microbial activity. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FITR), X - ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-visible spectroscopy and an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDAX) are conducted for characterization of synthesized Copper nanoparticles. The elemental composition of nanoparticles, shape and size of nanoparticles functional group present in the nanoparticles were identified. The Anti-ageing, Antioxidant and Antimicrobial activity of the synthesized copper nanoparticle were determined. Moreover Antifungal and Antibacterial activity of the synthesized nanoparticles against pathogens were assessed using Disc diffusion Method. Keywords: Anti-ageing activity, EDAX, SEM, Copper Nanoparticles. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
