ABSTRACT Withania coagulans is one of the most privileged medicinal plant of ancient as well as modern medicine. It is a member of the Solonacea family and can be found in South Asia and the East Mediterranean. Due to its ability to coagulate milk, it is widely referred to as doda paneer (Indian Rennet) in India. W. coagulans is used to treat a variety of illnesses and has a number of therapeutic benefits. Anolides are the primary acitive biochemical ingredient of plants, which are known to contain a variety of bioactive chemicals that give them their biological and pharmacological properties. W. coagulans is frequently used in the treatment of diabetes in the ayurvedic medical system. It has been demonstrated that withanolides extracted from the plant's fruit aqueous extract possess an antihyperglycemic and antidyslipidemic activity, wound healing activity, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, hypolipidemic, and antifungal properties of W. coagulans.
