ABSTRACT Mometasone furoate, a potent glucocorticoid with anti inflammatoryand immunosuppressive properties, has proven to be a valuabletherapeutic agent in the management of both dermatological and nasalconditions. This review explores its diverse applications, par ticularly intreating atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and other corticosteroid responsivedermatoses, as well as its role in managing allergic rhinitis, chronicrhinosinusitis, and adenoidal hypertrophy. Clinical investigationsconsistently highlight its eff ectiveness and favorable safety profile. Indermatology, studies have demonstrated significant symptomimprovement with once daily application, often outperformingalternative corticosteroids. In nasal applications, mometasone furoatenasal spray (MFNS) has shown superior efficacy in alleviating nasalcongestion and inflammatory symptoms compared to placebo and systemic antibiotics, evenin severe cases of seasonal allergic rhinitis and rhinosinusitis. Evidence further supports itsutility in reducing aden oid pad size in pediatric patients, offering a non surgical treatmentoption. Importantly, clinical trials report minimal systemic absorption and adverse effects, reinforcing its long term safety. This comprehensive review provides an in depth analysis ofmometasone furoate's pharmacological profile, therapeutic indications, and clinical efficacy, underscoring its essential role in modern dermatological and rhinological treatmentparadigms.
