Abstract

A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW ON PERIOCULAR HYPERPIGMENTATION-UNDEREYECREAM FOR DARK CIRCLES

ABSTRACT

Under the eyelids, People of all ages are frequently affected by the condition known as “dark circles”. It is characterized by decolouration around the eyes, which can be caused by various agents like genetics, aging, poor circulation, and environmental conditions. This study is aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the periocular hyperpigmentation cream, containing a unique blend of the Alovera, Glycerine, Amla powder, Potato starch, and some of the preservatives have been used. In this the alovera gel acts as a hydrating agent which calms the skin, reducing the inflammation and hyperpigmentation. Potato starch extract, amla powder, and aloe Vera gel are used to make the herbal cream were as stearic acid, acetyl alcohol, potato starch, methyl paraben, distilled water, rose oil, were used to make the cream base. Amla is good in its anti-inflammatory which may reduce the puffiness and swelling around the eyes, which can reduce the darkcircles.
