ABSTRACT

The increasing demand for natural and herbal hair care products has prompted the exploration of traditional plant-based ingredients with potent restorative and therapeutic properties. This study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a herbal revitalizing hair mask incorporating a blend of Amla, Shikakai, Hibiscus, Neem, Indigo, Henna, Curry Leaves, Guava, Green Gram, and Fenugreek. These ingredients were selected for their synergistic effects on promoting hair health, improving scalp condition, and stimulating hair growth. The hair mask was prepared through a precise combination of powdered forms of the selected herbs, with a focus on maintaining their bioactive compounds and ensuring easy application. Physicochemical evaluations, including moisture content, loss on drying pH, viscosity, and spreadability, consistency were conducted to assess the product's stability and usability. Additionally, the mask’s efficacy in promoting hair growth and improving hair texture was assessed through a clinical trial, involving a group of volunteers who applied the mask over a specific duration. Parameters such as hair strength, shine, volume, and reduction in dandruff were monitored. The results indicated that theherbal hair mask showed significant improvements in scalp health, enhanced hair growth, and overall hair texture, with minimal adverse effects. Thisformulation, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, demonstrates a promising naturalalternative to synthetic hair care products, with potential benefits for individuals seeking saferand more sustainable hair treatments.
