Abstract

CLINICAL EFFICACY OF APAMARGA KSHARASUTRA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF BHAGANDARA: A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT

Bhagandara (Fistula-in-Ano) is a common and distressing anorectal disorder with significant morbidity. Ayurveda offers a promising para-surgical procedure, Ksharasutra therapy, as a minimally invasive and effective treatment. Among various Ksharasutra types, Apamarga Ksharasutra has been widely used due to its potent caustic and healing properties. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Apamarga Ksharasutra in the management of Bhagandara through a detailed single case study. Result: shows efficacy of Apamarga Ksharasutra in low anal fistula with its complete healing and total relief in symptomatology.
