Abstract

A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - A STATE OF ART IN CANCER DETECTION

Dr. Sundhararajan R., Dr. Rajalakshmi G.* and Arifa A.

ABSTRACT

Each day, advancements in science and technology are reshaping our world. Today, every field is focused on discovering simpler approaches. With enormous intellect, humans are expanding their field of research, and the medical field is one among them. The evolution of cutting-edge computer technologies is accelerating. With the database available, the software Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods, including Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) algorithms have expanded their applications in predicting and diagnosing various diseases. Cancer stands as one of the most threatening diseases to mankind. Managing and treating cancer continues to pose significant challenges. Early detection can lead to improved outcomes. Digital healthcare offers numerous opportunities to reduce human error, improve clinical outcomes, and track data over time. In the present era, machine learning tools and artificial intelligence aids in detecting cancer compared to conventional medical imaging diagnostic modalities to reduce diagnosis times and costs while increasing diagnostic accuracy This overview article aims to provide insight into Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques for identifying and diagnosing tumours and the steps involved.

Keywords: Machine Learning, Digital Health care, Deep learning.
