PHARMACEUTICO – ANALYTICAL STANDARDIZATION OF LAGHU VISAGARBHA TAILA

ABSTRACT

Sneha Kalpana is a unique ayurvedic dosage form, commonly prepared by ghee and oil. Kalka dravya, Sneha dravya and Drava dravya are the essential ingredients of Sneha Kalpna. Goghrita, Tila taila, Eranda taila and Sarshapa taila are used as Sneha Dravya. These Sneha Kalpana are used both for internal administration and external application. Laghu Visagarbha taila is a unique formulation which has Tila taila as Sneha Dravya. The ingredients include Visha dravya Dhattura patra, Dhattura beeja and Vatsanbha. The main indication of Laghu Visagarbha taila is in Vatavyadhi. The study has been carried out on this Laghu Visagarbha taila prepared by classical method for the pharmaceutical study and to ensure the quality control and to see the analytical changes, as it was subjected to various analytical procedures to evaluate the current pharmaceutico-analytical updating.
