ABSTRACT

It is the dosage form that modifies the drug release by prolongs therapeutics action of drug. The concentration of drug in body releases slowly once it reach maximum level so it will take prolonged time to fall under the therapeutic range. The major goal of sustained release dosage form is to keep the therapeutic blood or tissue level of the drug for a prolonged period.
