Raviteja Bandla*, P. Vinod, R. Mounika Bai, S.Venkata Prasanna Reddy and S. K. Reshida

ABSTRACT

Hydrazone is the parent substance of a large group of heterocyclic compounds and plays a vital role in many biological processes, A number of hydrazone derivatives were synthesized, and were purified by crystallization or by column chromatography. Structures of all the synthesized compounds are supported by correct IR, 1H NMR, mass spectral and analytical data. The synthesised compounds were tested for their anti-inflammatory activity. Among the synthesized compounds compound 1e possessed maximum activity.

Keywords: Hydrazone, Phenylhydrazine and Anti-inflammatory activity.
