ABSTRACT

Snake bite is generally considered as a rural problem since most of the snake bite cases are encountered in rural and mountainous area. India being an agricultural country, about 70 % population lives in rural areas. Majority of them are farm workers, ploughing and harvesting with most primitive methods. They water their lands barefooted and in darkness of night without even the cheapest source of light.
