Abstract

A REVIEW ON NANOPARTICLES: TYPES, BIOSYNTHESIS, PROPERTIES AND DIFFERENT METHODS OF PREPARATION

ABSTRACT

Nanotechnology explores structure behavior at the submolecular and molecular level as well as electrical, optical, magnetic activity. Nanoparticles can exhibits significantly different chemical and physical properties to their large material counterpart. Nanoparticles are very small in size range between 1 to100 nanometer. This is now being used in the manufacture of scratch proof eye glasses, crack-resistant paints, anti-graffiti coating for walls, transparent sunscreens, stain-repellent fabric, self- cleaning windows and ceramic coating for solar cells. Nanotechnology can be used to increase the safety of cars and also being clinically investigated as potential treatment for cancer and other diseases.
