A REVIEW ON BENEFICIAL EFFECTS OF CYNODON DACTYLON

ABSTRACT

Cynodon.dactylon is a pernnial grass seen all over the world. In India it is usually offered to lord Ganesh but its medicinal values are not completely explored. In recent studies has shown cynodon dactylon has number of medicinal activities and can treat diabeties mellitus, antihyperlipedemic, hepatoprotective, Antimicrobial and Anti-atherosclerotic, cancer, hypertension, gastric ulcer, obesity, etc. In resent update the plant can be used for female reproductive disorders like polycystic ovarian syndrome. Thus the plant should be explore more to see its beneficial effects in the treatment of human kinds.
