SYNTHESIS OF SOME NOVEL 1,3,4-OXADIAZOLE

ABSTRACT

Oxadiazole a five membered heterocylce having two nitrogen, one oxygen atom and two carbon atoms in a ring with alternate double and single bond having efficient anticancer, antifungal, antimalerial activity. In the present study some novel 1,3,4-oxadiazoles have been synthesized and characterised. A series of 1,3,4-oxadiazoles have been prepared by using phthalic anhydride and different amino acids. The synthesised compounds are identified on the basis of FTIR spectra, some chemical tests etc.
