Abstract

DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF RP-HPLC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF ALOGLIPTIN AND PIOGLITAZONE IN TABLET DOSAGE FORMS

ABSTRACT

The present work deals with the development of a precise, accurate, simple, specific, reliable and less time consuming RP-HPLC method for the estimation of Alogliptin and Pioglitazone tablets .The chromatographic separation was achieved on a Inertsil C18 ODS(4.6 x 250 with a mobile phase combination of methanol and water (70:30) v/v at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min, and the detection was carried out by using PDA detector at 257 nm. Ambient column temperature has maintained. The total run time was 10mins. The retention time of Pioglitazone and Alogliptin were found to be 2.4 min. and 3.3 min. respectively. The performance of the method was validated according to the present ICH guidelines.
