Abstract

USE OF TAKRAPANA FOR RUKSHAN KARMA IN PANCHAKARMA

ABSTRACT

Takra is considered to be Amrutha for human beings. Different kinds of takra kalpana are mentioned by various Acharya. Takra is very useful in digestive problem and it is considered the best medicine in various diseases.[1] Takra acts as a vata kapha shamak. Acharyas also mention use of takra for rukshan karma before snehapana. It is also good rukshan drug which is used for rukshan karma. Acharyas also mentioned rukshan yogya codition. Now a days for better management is needed. As a world is looking towards ayurveda for safe treatment modalities. It is very essential to find out effective procedure from science. In this article utility of takra is explained in panchakrma for rukshan karma.[2]
