DOCUMENTATION OF WILD EDIBLE LEAFY VEGETABLES FROM RATNAGIRI AND SINDHUDURG DISTRICTS

ABSTRACT

From Ratnagiri district about 15 leafy vegetables were collected during a whole year among which 8 were wild and available only in the rainy season from June to October. The localities visited in Ratnagiri district for collecting information about vegetables included the Ratnagiri city, Chiplun, Khed, Dapoli and Jaitapur tehsils. About 13 leafy vegetables were collected from the Sindhudurg district during a whole year among which five were wild and available only in the rainy season.
