ABSTRACT
Anticoagulants are the class of medicines that prevent the blood coagulation. Coagulation is the process by which blood changes from liquid state to gel state and forms a blood clot. The mechanism involved in this blood clot formation is activation, adhesion and aggregation of platelets along with the deposition of fibrin. The most common diseases states associated with platelets results in haemorrhage or obstructive clotting.
